  Took bike for tuneup including chain repair and replacement of back tire. Road away after tune-up/repair and chain broke within 100 yards. Returned bike ... they replaced chain ... charged for new chain $25. I suggested that they discount the new chain price by the $5.50 they charged for the link to repair old chain. Rolled eyes and said fine, and then proceed to inform me that payment by credit card was so passé.

  CyclePower gets my vote as the best bike shop in the Ottawa area. They have a good selection of bikes and accessories, maintenance on a new bike is free, the staff are knowledgeable, and their service is friendly and competent.
