  I love this place! It seems to be operating from a new economic paradigm. They gave me store credit for boxes of books. It's a great trade since the coffee, tea and hot chocolate is very good. And I've been able to bring my dog there on his birthday! But do check before going if you want to bring your dog there.

  I look for excuses to come here. They give better deals on used books than I've found anywhere else in the city. They only give store credit but I like that because you can use it at their café which is surprisingly very good. It's a super cool business idea, and it looks like it's treated them well because it's always packed.

  I love the atmosphere, can't wait to go back. Great selection of books to read and buy. Free WiFi of course, good coffee and yummy snacks. They often have events going on such as book swaps.

  I went in to buy coffee. I left with 5 books. Great Book Fever frequently strikes in this place. Please be aware. Also, the coffee is amazing. On a serious note, the bathrooms downstairs are labelled in the best way I've ever seen for gender identity inclusivity. I have a 13 year old non-gender conforming child, so this is a pretty big deal for my family. Thanks Black Squirrel Books Staff!

  Great little shop with a good collection of books. You can trade books for store credit. They won't accept all books. There's a basement with more books and non gendered washrooms. Coffee is great and they have a tea menu. Lovely staff and vibe.
