Having our dog pass, was extremely difficult. I was not looking forward to dealing with the cremation process. But, I am so fortunate that I choose Resting Paws to take care of our "Thai".

Our precious “Bubbles” who was our daughters cat, now rests in a clay kitty figurine urn on top of a dresser in her bedroom. (This was one of her favorite snoozing perches in her other life).

Although we had a regular veterinarian, our cat would cry and go through great anxiety to and from her vet visits, so Patrick and Sabine were kind enough to recommend someone they knew very well who would come to our home, saving her all that final stress (and us too) and perform the euthanasia in her familiar surroundings, and transport her to Resting Paws for cremation.

(PS If you want your pet to be home euthanized, ask them to refer you to Dr. Richard Murray. He was our vet for 15 years and is also a wonderful and compassionate person.)

Sabine and Patrick were so lovely. I had to put my senior cat down and was devastated. They were very kind, and did a great job with my kitty's paw print. They provide a necessary service with kindness and patience. Thank you!

In a time when your heart is broken but you must make arrangements, it's all you can hope for is to deal with people like Patrick and Sabrina.

I cannot say enough good things about Patrick and Sabine. They are incredibly caring and sensitive people. They said and did all the things I needed most when I was going through the traumatic event of losing my first pet. I especially appreciated being able to witness the cremation of my beloved cat - for me, it was the closure I needed. Thank you both!!

Of all the many beloved pets we have parted with through the years, this was the most painless, stress-free and dignified process we have experienced for any of them to date ….. and again for us too.

It has taken me a while to write about my experience with Resting Paws just because I am still grieving the loss of my fur baby. On November 24th 2017, my life changed when I learnt that Prada had passed away. I couldn't believe it and it was so surreal. I did not deal with Prada's death too well but thanks God I had Patrick from resting Paws to help me out.

We were in iqaluit Nunavut and had to fly Thai down to Ottawa so, there was a lot to arrange. But, from the very first phone call, to putting him on the plane, to Patrick picking him up, to me receiving his ashes in our new home BC, it was a very smooth process. Patrick and Sabrina were incredible to deal with, both full of empathy, kindness and patience.

Thank you again Patrick and Sabine for all of your kind assistance, recommendations, and care to both Bubbles and our family!

He was very delicate and courteous on the phone, I asked him to please help me with Prada and less than 1hour he was there to pick her little body. He comforted me and I felt somewhat better. He picked her up and gently put her in a basket that he brought and respectfully took her with him. Prada was cremated the following day early morning in Woodlawn. Patrick really made this process bearable and a little bit easier to understand, with his kind words he put me at ease. Patrick is a professional who understands the grieving process and how to help your fur baby cross the rainbow bridge. Prada was placed in a little engraved box with a certificate of her cremation and a card from Patrick and Sabine (which made me cry when I saw it). My mom also got me a necklace with her little ashes, I always think of her (good and bad moments) but I am glad to know that in death, she was respected and cared for with lots of love. THANK YOU PATRICK!!!!!
