  Not impressed with Gap's Hold Policy! Monday at 11am I was running a work errand during my lunch break. Was finished pretty quick and had a few minutes to spare so I popped into The Gap Store next door. to Staples. I don't typically shop at the Gap as I am middle aged, but I thought I would check it out. I actually found a couple of items for my son that I thought he might like for x-mas. I asked about the return policy. 90 days was the response. "Wow, that's great", I thought. That meant I could be done with my son's x-mas shopping early. I approached the cash desk and there was already someone being served. Unfortunately, she didn't have everything she needed and got the cashier to go and get other item(s) instead of someone else. I waited. It was taking a while (she had a ton of stuff) and my time was running out. Another Salesperson (maybe Manager) walked past, so I asked if she would put my items on hold until the next day. "NO" was the response. I explained that I had to get back to work and unfortunately I didn't have time to wait. They would only hold it for that day and then put it back out for tomorrow was the explanation I received. I explained that they would be losing my business if I had to walk out. She refused to budge. So, basically I just wasted my time shopping in this store! I was not impressed! Just last week I went to Marks (also next door to The Gap) and found a number of items I wanted for my son. I remembered they had a $10off coupon in their flyer so I asked if they would hold my items until this week so that I could use it. No problem they said. I walked in there today (on my lunch) asked for my items and paid. Done in less than 5 minutes. I don't know if the Hold Policy (or lack thereof) is the Gap's or just this location's but a Manager needs to know/be able to adjust certain policies to ensure a positive customer service experience as well as make money for their store. Customer's don't appreciate their time being wasted like this.

  Rude staff who don't know how to treat their customers well. Although I came here many time, today will mark the last. I will not be mistreated and pay for it.

  Extreamly unfriendly store. Even the manager couldn't care less about the customers.

  Great place to buy cotton clothes for babies that are in clearance or marked down!

  Always a good experience. Convenient location for transit users. Half my wardrobe comes from this store. Sign up for emails to get really good discounts.
