    Great place for modern electronics, Google Home and everything "smart". Recently I purchased a new television, spoke with the manager and received a decent price reduction of a few hundred. Smaller items and accessories are a bit higher priced and not a lot of options when compared with competitors. Overall great place.

    Even with a purchased extended warranty; they will find any excuse to not honour it or try to get more money out of you. Even Geek Squad is a joke where you have to pay ridiculous amounts of money for something simple and they still try to upsell.

    2) So I took an empty product box from the shelf to the cashier to collect the item, as instructed by Best buy friendly label. Item was out of stock cashier tells me without a smile, no rain checks offered, apologies not needed, "No sir, empty box in the shelf only means we forgot to remove it" She might as well had added "not our fault we have bad employees" 3) So I asked the cashier for another item I was interested in. Tells me item is in stock but can't find it where is supposed to be, behind the counter stock shelf. She requests another employee to go to the backroom and asks me to wait . 10 min later, employee shows up and walks past me. I ask what happened and tells me he already told the cashier via headset item is not in the store. Cashier finally says sorry!, because she had decided to turn off the communication device and that's why she made me wait for no reason.

    Best Buy invested a lot of money to renovate and make their stores look nice but forgot one thing: train their personnel on how to properly deal with and assist customers.Here is why: 3 major issues in the same visit. 1) Walked around looking for an item for 10 min. No employee in sight to request help, most of them far from my area, talking to each other or hiding in the stock room. Finally got someone's attention and asked him to check stock for a particular item. Told me to wait while he goes and checks . 10 min later, I go looking for the employee (!) only to find him chatting in the stock room and avoiding eye contact. That was enough for me to leave but idiot me decided to stay.

    I loved this place. I'm from Quebec and the Best buys are not like this at all. People are very friendly. They are knowledgeable too. Would buy all my stuff from here. It's just far for me to go. It's been at least 3 years I haven't walked into a best buy because of the Québec service.

    This was actually a really fun place to shop. I took my daughter and wish shopping for headphones for running. The whole place has been changed from shelves stocked with merchandise to displays with push button so you can try everything. It was great to hear all the different options of speakers. My daughter had a blast testing everything out. I had started doing a lot more of my electronic shopping online but this was an excellent shopping experience and their prices weren't crazy high. Definitely worth stopping in to have a look. We went to two different locations in the same week the one on Coventry Road in Ottawa is by far the newest and best.

    The company's goal is profit and not oriented on the consumer. Once they got your money they don't care. Why should I buy anything from this dump when if something breaks within a few days of purchase they wipe their hands free from it.

    So if you are looking for a good customer experience when browsing or purchasing items , Ottawa Coventry Best Buy is not the right place. I hope its culture of poor customer service is not prevalent across Best Buy or they are going to be the next Sears.

    Garbage store and garbage company. In store and call center employees are hugely incompetent unable to give you direct answers and cant do anything without the help of a manager. They either walk away or hang up on you to not deal with it.
