  Selection is good, buy why are the good ones so high up? If you don't want people to try them, you are not going to sell them. This is the only music store in Ottawa that has this kind of supermarket vibe. If you want quality instruments, this is not the place. But if you just wanted to buy cables, picks and strings for quick, this is not a bad location.

  Ottawa's best music store, they've been in business over 20 years. Great products and knowledgeable staff. Good place for beginners or experienced musicians. They have guitars, bases, acoustic instruments, amplifiers, a horns section, drums upstairs and recording equipment.

  Return policy is wierd and uncertain, "We typically don't want returns", according to a staff.

  Knowledgeable staff in each department. Not a lot of stores left like Steve's. Met a lot of guys in bands from this store. Hands down better than Long & McQuade.

  The staff was friendly and wonderfully helpful. They went above and beyond my expectation. I look forward to going back again. (Parking is an issue. If possible, take public transit.)

  I like Steve's Music! All the awesome guitars! Going there to just looking is sometimes bothersome, but the staff have never pressured me. Steve's have been awesome when I go to buy. Let me try the gear, make sure I am set up with what i need to try and left me alone to decide. The guitars and gear are always quality I expect...do keep this place on your list to visit
