  Was a long time fan of the old bar zaphods and had high hopes when club 27 finally opened. Sadly, it only had overpriced beers (and not the good kind), horrendous music, an almost incomplete looking interior, and the music was so loud that any chance of socializing was just impossible. Even on nights of their "events" the place was absolutely dead despite maybe one or two fangirls giving it their all in the audience. The people at the door were also terrible at upselling, didn't even know their own events, charged me a different price than what was listed on their ad, and I had to remind them to stamp my hand after paying... Needless to say I'm beyond disappointed.

  Big shoes to fill after taking over the building that housed one of the most reknowned Ottawa music bars. After checking out a couple events at 27 and meeting the new owners, I am happy to say that I think they are going to do the space justice. Lots of great shows coming up too. I'll be sure to be back to see what's going on.

  The 27 Club - Great drinks, great dance floor, and super friendly staff! Does the memory of Zaphod's justice.

  Was there to see pack a.d I was happy with the venue the service if you want that intimate feeling I was so close I could have stepped in and kissed Becky from pack a.d lol! Not being one for live music I was happy they rocked the house and the stricken were cranking also.

  Zaphods is gone, moving on, but with $5 PBR and $6 Beaus I'm happy. Service at the bar is quick, great times.
